The Battalions first permanent cantonment in Japan was at Camp Burness located on L & 48th Streets in the northwestern corner of Tokyo called Nakano. |

13 March 1948 The Battalion moved from Camp Burness at L & 48th Streets, Nakano, to a former Japanese Paymasters School at Z & 20th Streets near the Sumida River, downtown Tokyo. That compound would also be named Camp Burness. |
