        The company continued their primary missions of discipline, law, and order patrols on Long Binh Post; combined discipline, law, and order patrols with the Quan Canh’s in the city of Bien Hoa; escorting transportation of military personnel from the 90th Replacement Battalion on Long Binh Post to the Bien Hoa Air Base under Operation SHOTGUN, highway and village security patrols between Long Binh Post and Saigon, and Long Binh Post and Bien Hoa; Long Binh Post Reaction Force, where they manned designated bunkers and access gates during alerts of enemy hostilities.

        And when the MP's were off duty they made use of their Day Room, rather fancy for the standard construction style of other day rooms on Long Binh Post that were Quonset huts or Adams Huts buildings. The company ate at the 95th MP Battalion Mess Hall.

January CPT Frederick W. Honerkamp, III, completed his assignment as Company Commander and was reassigned to the position of Deputy Provost Marshal, Bien Hoa.

27 February PFC Glenn Karl Leino was killed in the line of duty while performing a traffic and security mission at a construction site on the Newport Bridge when a crane fell on him.

1 May While on patrol of Long Binh Post, SSG Stephen A. Maxwell was dispatched to a report of a disgruntled soldier threatening to destroy himself and his unit commander with a hand grenade. When he arrived he discovered the soldier had pulled the grenade pin and threatened to destroy himself and anyone else that came near him. SSG Maxwell ordered all personnel in the area to a safe distance. He then disarmed himself and slowly approached the desperate soldier. Although he succeeded in taking the dangerous devise from the raving soldier, a struggle ensued in which SSG Maxwell managed to subdue the captive, all the while retaining the unpinned grenade in his left hand. For his valorous actions that day, SSG Maxwell was awarded the Soldier’s Medal.
21 July The Company received the following new personnel, SP/4’s Steven C. Edwards, Thomas P. Kerns and, PVT's Henry L. Avery, Steven M. Belcher, Frederick Bickel, Dennis Callahan, Gordon W. Linder, William A. McLain, William H. Novosad, and Darrell E. Willis.
31 August PFC Norman Reid, 615th MP Company and Robert Lee, 101st Airborne Division outside the Provost Marshal Office on Long Binh Post.
Exact date unknown The Long Binh Post Fire Department located across the street from the Provost Marshal Office caught fire, the cause was unknown.
18 September Once again SSG Stephen A. Maxwell was confronted by a disgruntled soldier armed with a hand grenade. In this incident he and SP/4 Paul Cardalino were on patrol in Cogido Village just west of Long Binh Post. The solider they confronted was high on drugs and wanted for the rape of a mother and her young daughter. He and Cardalino had to separate the suspect from the villagers and children playing in the area. Before they approached the suspect they quickly evacuated as many of the local villagers as they could. When it appeared he was headed for another group of children, SSG Maxwell took careful aim with an M-16 and dropped the soldier with a round in his leg. The as the suspect fell he tossed the grenade into an empty field. They picked up the wounded suspect and transported him to the 93rd Evacuation Hospital. Their quick actions allowed for a safe and successful apprehension without loss of life.

14 October PFC Bill Novosad, his partner and a Vietnamese National Policeman from the Thu Duc Detachment, were on highway patrol when they were flagged down by a civilian and directed to the University Village. They discovered a male child unconscious from a swimming incident and that their radio would not transmit. They did what most MP's would do... improvise!

17 October PFC Novosad would receive a Letter of Commendation from LTC Frank W. Richnak, Commanding Officer, 95th MP Battalion and a Certificate of Achievement from COL W. K. Wittwer, Commanding Officer 18th MP Brigade, for his life saving efforts on 14 October.

25 December, Christmas Day Members of the Company hosted a Christmas Party for a group of Vietnamese Orphans in the 95th MP Battalion Theatre on Long Binh Post. To the children's delight there was plenty to eat and an MP Santa Clause.

     To the children's delight the MP's made sure that there was plenty of sweets to eat and an MP Santa Clause to entertain them.

        It doesn't matter what era or theater of war you served in, there is an abundance of evidence that the U.S. Military Forces throughout the world have an unending affection for children caught up in conflict. It's something we can all be proud of.

28 DecemberMembers of the Company that were not assigned duties related to Operation HOLLY the security of the Bob Hope USO Tour Show were able to attend as part of the audience at the Curry Amphitheater on Long Binh Post.
