CSM Craig replaced CSM William A. Generali on 15 June 2006, and relinquished responsibilities to CSM Peter J. Ladd on 20 August 2008 CSM Craig deployed with HQ Detachment during Operation Iraqi Freedom-07/09, where they served subordinate to the 89th and 18th MP Brigades in the Baghdad area during the surge operations of 2007-2008. |

CSM Craig hails from Adairsville, Georgia. He enlisted in the US Army on July 29th, 1982 and attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort McClellan, AL. CSM Craig has served in a variety of assignments and units to include the 630th MP Co. and the 536th MP Co, Federal Republic of Germany; the 5th MP Co, 5th Infantry Division at Ft Polk, LA; 502nd MP Company, 2d Armored Division, Ft Hood, TX; 2nd MP Co, 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea; Alpha Company, 795th MP BN, Fort McClellan, AL; 148th MP Detachment, Ft Carson, CO; 13th MP Detachment and 25th MP Company, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI; and 3rd MP Company, 3rd Infantry Division, Ft Stewart, GA. CSM Craig has held virtually every leadership position throughout his career to include Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Battalion Command Sergeants Major. He has also served as a Provost Sergeant, Division Provost Sergeant Major, Drill Sergeant, Company Operations Sergeant and Battalion Operations Sergeant Major. CSM Craig’s military education includes, Basic Military Police Training, Basic Airborne School, Air Assault School, Military Police Investigations Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Drill Sergeant School, First Sergeant Course, and the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 124. CSM Craig has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing an MBA through the University of Phoenix. CSM Craig’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3rd OLC), Army Commendation Medal (5th OLC), Army Achievement Medal (5th OLC), Good Conduct Medal (7th award), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal (2nd award), GWOT Expeditionary Medal, GWOT Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (w/numeral 4), Overseas Ribbon, the Air Assault Badge, Airborne Badge, the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Award. CSM Craig was inducted into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club at Fort Hood in 1994. |
