     CSM Jon D. Matthews was born in San Francisco, CA and moved with his family all over the world while his father served in the Army, settling down in Las Vegas, NV. In 1992 he enlisted in the Army as an Airborne Infantryman. He was later re-classed as a Military Policeman.

     His’ military assignments include M60 machine team, 1/508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Kobbe, Panama; Team Leader, 1/504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd ABN Division, Fort Bragg, NC; Team Leader, 272nd Military Police Company, Mannheim, Germany; Squad Leader, 272nd Military Police Company, Mannheim, Germany; Senior Drill Sergeant, A/787th Military Police Company, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; NCOIC, Military Police Captains Career Course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Platoon Sergeant, 212th Military Police Company, 18th MP Brigade, Ansbach, Germany; Company Operations Sergeant, 501st Military Police Company, 1AD, Wiesbaden, Germany; First Sergeant, 501st Military Police Company, 1st Armored Division, Wiesbaden, Germany.

     CSM Matthews military education includes Infantry and Military Police OSUT, Airborne School, Drill Sergeant School, Child Abuse Prevention and Investigative Techniques Course, Domestic Violence Investigative Techniques Course, Operational Security Course, Anti-Terrorism Level II and all the NCOES level courses.
