MSG Reeves was assigned as the Provisional Rear Command Sergeant Major from late 2012 to early 2013 pending the retirement of CSM Jon D. Matthews and the arrival of CSM Myron J. Lewis on 5 February 2013. |

MSG (P) Reeves enlisted in the United States Army on 17 November 1992 and was awarded the MOS 92R parachute rigger. In June 1995, he reclassified and was awarded the MOS of 31B Military Police. Throughout his military career, MSG (P) Reeves has served in a variety of duty positions including Gunner, Driver, Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, First Sergeant and Command Sergeant Major. His assignments include: Parachute Rigger, Echo Company, 782d MSB, 82d Airborne Division, FT Bragg NC; Gunner and Team Leader, 170th Military Police Company, Fort Lewis WA; SRT entry team member, 51st Military Police Detachment, Fort Lewis WA; Team Leader and Squad Leader, 13th Military Police Company, Vicenza, Italy; Platoon Sergeant, 252d Military Police Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Drill Sergeant, Alpha Company, 795th Military Police Company, Fort Leonard Wood MO; Platoon Sergeant and Operations Sergeant, 410th Military Police Company, Fort Hood TX; Operations Sergeant, USARCENT, Fort McPherson GA; First Sergeant, HSC III Armored Corps, Fort Hood TX; Operations Sergeant, HHC 89th Military Police Brigade; and First Sergeant, 64th Military Police Company, Fort Hood, TX. Command Sergeant Major, 720th Military Police Battalion (Provisional), Fort Hood Texas. He has three combat deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. MSG Reeves’ military and civilian education includes the Warrior Leaders Course, the Advanced Leaders Course (Leadership Award Recipient), the Senior Leaders Course (Commandants List), Drill Sergeant School (Honor Graduate), Hostage Negotiation Course, Antiterrorism Basic and Advanced Course, and the Airborne Course. MSG Reeves is currently working towards his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 oak leaf clusters), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (6 oak leaf clusters), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (6 oak leaf clusters), Army Good Conduct Medal (6TH award), National Defense Service Medal (1 bronze service star), Kosovo Campaign Medal (1 bronze service star), Iraqi Campaign Medal (3 bronze Service Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 3), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (numeral 3), NATO Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award, Parachutist Badge, Rigger Badge, German Proficiency Badge, French Foreign Jump Wings, and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. He is also a member of the Prestigious Sergeant Morales Club. |
