At the start of the year the Battalion was headquartered subordinate to the 89th MP Brigade, III Corps at Fort Hood, TX.
January

8 January - Fort Hood, TX CPT Jerry Koltz relinquished command of Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment to CPT Andrew Douglass. In the same ceremony, SFC Lewis Decker relinquished command to 1SG Brian Flom.

February
1 February - Fort Hood, TX SPC Kenneth Gonzalez, age 36 of the 64th MP Company passed away at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, due to complications from an existing illness. SPC Gonzalez from Ridgewood, N.Y., was assigned to the 1st Platoon..
     He entered the U.S. Army in 2005, and his awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. SPC Gonzalez is survived by his wife Janette, a son Jonathan, and three daughters, Daisy, Bethany and Kailani.

28-31 May - Battalion Reunion - Washington, D.C. The Reunion Association held their 2010 Reunion on the Memorial Day weekend at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel, Arlington. LTC Segalla and CSM Ladd  were in attendance and assisted with the reading of the Honor Roll and presentation of the unit Guidon's at the Memorial Dinner.
July
9 July - Fort Hood, TX  LTC David J. Segalla passed command of the Battalion to LTC Eric D. Brunken   at Fort Hood, Texas..

September
1 September - Iraq Operation IRAQI FREEDOM ends at 0001 hours, and is redesignated Operation NEW DAWN. At the time of the change there are no Battalion units serving in Iraq.

2 September - Afghanistan PFC Diego M. Montoya, of the 64th MP Company, age 20, of San Antonio, TX, died in Laghman Province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit with indirect fire.
      PFC Montoya was the first Battalion casualty of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
