APC History- When the first APC's came to the battalion in 1968, it's believed they wore the bumper markings of the 89th GP. C Company APC bumper marker C101 first appears in Battalion photographs in 1970, and was used for convoy escort and Battalion Reaction Force out of Long Binh Post. It wasn't until 1970 that the MP's were allowed to paint names or logos on their APC's.

In 1970 the logo name "Easy Rider" appeared on a C Company APC, however the vehicle bumper marker is unknown. Sometime later the name was changed to "The Easy Rider," and appeared on C101.

On 18 May 1971 The Battalion realigned the combat support and combat service support missions within Military Region III the were previously accomplished by both A and C Company. Both companies had similar missions of staffing remote detachment provost marshal offices and convoy escort duties within the region. The realignment resulted in A Company assuming responsibility for all region provost marshal duties and C Company assuming responsibility for all convoy escort duties.

Reflection  "During my time on C101 it wasn't named nor were any of the other APC's. At the time it wasn't allowed. Just between our crew we called her the "Old Lady" due to it being thought that she was the oldest APC out of the ones C Company had. Since I left C Company in October of 1969 the naming of the APC's happened after that time."  SP/4 Alan D. Zampieri, C Company, 720th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade, 1968-1969.
