In 1953 LTC Cox assumed command of the Battalion from LTC Alvin B. Welsch. The Battalion assets were stationed in the Tokyo metropolitan area performing security, discipline, law and order duties. On 16 August 1954 LTC Cox passed command of the Battalion to LTC George E. Painter. |
