The Company moved from the crowded conditions at the Fire House and Police Station in Kyongju to an area several blocks away, unfortunately they were now billeted in tents.

Date unknown 1LT Robins was detached with a number of enlisted men to Andong, South Korea.

2 January, Tuesday CPT Samuel T. Denton was promoted to MAJ and reassigned with five enlisted men to the newly activated 96th MP Battalion. The Company was now attached subordinate to the Battalion.

1LT William E. Van Buskirk was assigned as the new Company Commander, and 1LT Frank M. Robbins as the new Company Executive Officer.

5 January, Friday The 1st Platoon, commanded by the newly arrived 1LT Dean O. Ball was detached to Wonju, South Korea to join the 2nd Platoon. The remainder of the Company began normal military police duties in Kyongju with the emphasis on traffic control.

Company strength was now, three officers and one-hundred enlisted men detached, two officers and eighty-five enlisted men at Kyongju.

Date unknown The 1st and 2nd Platoons were reassigned from Wonju to Chungju, South Korea.

6 January, Saturday Three enlisted men, SGT Buergess, SGT Roy and CPL McArdle departed Kyongju for five days of rest and relaxation [R&R], in Tokyo, Japan on a new R&R plan. The rumor was the Company was suppose to receive an R&R quota each week.

The Company was now performing duties as Post Exchange [PX], Rations Depot, and Jail Guards, along with Traffic Control Points, and Standby Patrols.

13 January, Saturday The three enlisted men returned from R&R in Tokyo and boosted Company morale with their stories.

22 January, Monday 1LT Van Buskirk, the Company Commander, was promoted to the rank of Captain, effective 30 December 1950.

The Company lost three more men to transfers, no new replacements have been received. The Company strength was now at one-hundred eighty personnel, down from the original two-hundred eleven.

27 January, Saturday The Company relieved General Almonds Honor Guard at the Main Command Post with a detachment of twenty-two enlisted men. They also relieved the 88th MP Company [772nd MP Battalion] of part of its duties in Kyongju, South Korea.

The morale of the Company is high with one exception, their overall disgust with the R&R plan because not one more man has been assigned since the first three on 13 January. There is an additional rumor going around about a rotation plan and point system being developed to determine rotations home.

31 January, Wednesday Several of the Company trucks finally arrived from up north, preparatory to moving the rest of the Company up to Chungju, South Korea.
