Fire Support Base (FSB) Wade... was located in Binh Dong Province, on a mountain top near Loc Ninh, map coordinates XT732086, just below the Cambodian border and the North Vietnamese Army sanctuaries. In 1969 and 1970 Wade was one of many fire support bases manned by artillery elements of the 1st Air Cavalry Division in the Tay Ninh area.
FSB Wade was located on a mountain top in the area of Loc Ninh. If anyone can identify its exact location from this map please notify the History Project Manager via this Email Link.
        1st Cavalry Division continued the task of clearing the remaining North Vietnamese Army combat elements from the area of III Corps north, east and west of Saigon. Much of this action was supported from firebase's which were able to provide field combat units a self directed protective coverage of firepower.

February-April During the months of February, March and April the FSB Wade Convoy had no regular schedule and was being run on an as needed basis.
