Vinh Hung was located in Long An Province, IV Corps Tactical Zone, near the Cambodian border just under the parrots beak. It was situated on the west side of the Mekong River along Highway 139.

Little is currently known about Vinh Long and the history of U.S. and allied units stationed there.

February-April During the months of February, March and April the Vinh Hung Convoy had no regular schedule and was being run on an as needed basis.
