"Our conditions were very primitive, we lived in tents, had no running water etc. We guarded the base camp of the 1st air cav. When the detachment was at full strength we had 20 dog & handler teams, but most of the time there were only 12 to 16. Our NCO's were SGT Sylvan Schrank and CPL John Walker, and we also had a vet-tech but I can't remember his name." SP/4 Michael C. Wright, 212th MP Company (Sentry Dog), 95th MP Battalion, 89th MP Group, 18th MP Brigade, 1967-1968.
December The 212th MP Company detachments in I & II Corps Tactical Zones were replaced by the 981st MP Company (Sentry Dog).
