| At the start of 1982 the 720th MP Battalion was headquartered subordinate to III Corps at Fort Hood, Texas. 16 July, Change of Command LTC Artis B. Mosley, Jr. passed command of the Battalion to LTC Larry B. Berrong, Jr.
