7 April 1LT Frederick A. Gertz is assigned as the Commanding Officer at the C Company Lai Khe Detachment. 8 July 1LT Gerald C. Peru is assigned as Platoon Leader for C Company. 19 July 1LT Frederick A. Gertz reassigned from his duties as the Commanding Officer at the C Company Lai Khe Detachment. |

29 July CPT Orval J. Golphenee is assigned as Commanding Officer of C Company. |
21 September 2LT Hugh M. Felt is assigned as Platoon Leader for C Company. |

3 October C and A Company were jointly tasked with the responsibility of a critical supply run, the first Long Binh to Cam Ranh Bay Convoy since 1968. In 1968 the convoy run was terminated due to the staggering losses of men and vehicles resulting from enemy action along the route. |
