212th MP Company  (Sentry Dog)
 
 
20 March the 95th MP Battalion was inactivated and 615th MP Company was again reassigned to the 720th MP Battalion until it became inactivated 20 August. The 615th remained in Vietnam until 27 March 1973.
 
20 August when the 720th MP Battalion was inactivated it is unknown where the 212th was assigned until 8 November when they were deactivated.
 
Fort Hood, Texas Rosters ~ 31 August to 31 December 1972

31 August 1972 After 18 days of inactivity since leaving Vietnam on 13 August, the 720th MP Battalion was reactivated when the 518th MP Battalion was redesignated as the 720th MP Battalion, 5th Army, III Corps, at Fort Hood, Texas with LTC Gerald G. Gibbons, Commanding .

     Under new Department of The Army regulations, the letter companies A, B, and C were deactivated and were replaced by numbered MP Company's. Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment continued its Army lineage.
