20 August when the 720th MP Battalion was inactivated it is unknown where the 212th was assigned until 8 November when they were deactivated.
20 March the 95th MP Battalion was inactivated and 615th MP Company was again reassigned to the 720th MP Battalion until it became inactivated 20 August. The 615th remained in Vietnam until 27 March 1973.
 

Battalion Fort Hood, Texas Roster ~ 31 August to 31 December 1972

31 August 1972 After 18 days of inactivity since leaving Vietnam on 13 August the 720th MP Battalion was reactivated when the 518th MP Battalion was redesignated as the 720th MP Battalion, 5th Army, III Corps, LTC Gerald G. Gibbons, Commanding, during ceremonies at Fort Hood, Texas.

Unless noted otherwise the soldiers listed on this roster were members of the 518th MP Battalion when it was redesigtnated as the 720th MP Battalion 31 August 1972.

31 August the 518th Military Police Battalion was redesignated as the 720th MP Battalion at Fort Hood, Texas and, under new Department Of The Army regulations, the letter companies A, B, and C were deactivated and were reverted to their historical numerical MP Company designations.
